Gabs The brand was founded in Florence in 2000, born from the creative vision of designer Franco Gabbrielli, who followed in his father’s footsteps and grew up at Beghè, the traditional Tuscan luxury leather goods company founded by his father, Vittorio, in the 1970s.
Thanks to the creative genius of Franco and his sister, Patrizia Gabbrielli, and their vision to create a bag that could take on multiple forms and sizes, the success of Gabs was not long in coming. In 2005, Franco Gabbrielli began collaborating with designers and entrepreneurs Marco Campomaggi and Caterina Lucchi. The combination of their expertise led to the creation of Emergenti Italiani, a project aimed at exporting Made in Italy design excellence to the world. This marked the brand’s breakthrough. “Gabs” would later merge with “Campomaggi, and Caterina Lucchi,” creating a partnership that would drive the brand’s expansion into foreign markets, particularly in Asia, such as China and Japan.
Today, Gabs is a 100% Italian brand, known worldwide for its irreverent style, the quality of its materials and leatherwork, the vibrancy of its collections, and the revolutionary turquoise button—a distinctive symbol of breaking with convention that has always served as the brand’s logo.
The main feature of Gabs bags is their versatility and transformability; buying a Gabs bag means owning two or three styles, each capable of adding a special touch to a woman’s day, allowing her to approach her daily life with a constantly changing style.
