The Debut Under the DELAHAYE Brand
DELSEY was founded in 1946 through the merger of two historic brands: DELAHAYE, a French company in business since 1911 and renowned for its leather cases for cameras and typewriters, and the SEYNHAEVE brothers.
This gave rise to a line of luggage designed for the modern traveler, always on the lookout for new adventures to tackle with the practicality that Delsey Paris has masterfully embodied thanks to the innovative spirit of its designers, whose work has revolutionized the luggage industry.
The brand’s philosophy centers on the combination of experience and innovation—principles that, over more than 70 years in business, have guided the production of innovative products, pushing the boundaries of design and functionality to the limit.
Today, Delsey is a globally recognized brand, distributed in more than 110 countries, with over 50 patents and numerous international awards to its credit.
Innovative and Eco-Friendly Spirit
Delseywas the first to launch a line of hard-shell suitcases (Delsey Airstyle) designed to provide greater protection for travelers’ personal belongings.
This relentless drive for innovation led the company in the early 1970s to develop the first prototypes of wheeled suitcases (the Trolley system), with the goal of offering the modern traveler the greatest possible freedom.
Always mindful of environmental issues, the company launched “DelseyPlanet,” a line of suitcases made from recycled r-PET fabric—produced from plastic water bottles collected from the oceans—with the stated goal of “reducing plastic waste pollution and promoting fair travel.”

Delsey’s Trolleys feature an innovative, patented braking system—first introduced with the Chatelet collection—and the exclusive, patented SEURITECH® zipper closure system.
